LAYING Roof BLOCK IS A SINGLE TRADE OPERATION

Roof BLOCKs are simply bedded in mortar on top of the outer wall to the nearest brick course to suit the level of the roof overhang with fully filled waterproof mortar joints between each block.

Build-in a last row of wall ties as close as possible to the top of walls, checking that lintels at wall openings will not obstruct the cavity behind the masonry roof overhang.

Roof BLOCK IS SUITABLE FOR ALL ROOF TYPES :

Flat,  Hipped  or  Pitched Roof

Start the masonry overhang at the corner by bedding on outside wall the Corner Block followed by the      RoofBLOCKs along the top of the walls with full vertical joints between the block. At internal corners,

simply mitre two RoofBLOCKs this completes the overhang for either a flat or hipped roof. (See 1- 3)

For a pitched roof, build the gable wall on top of the Corner Block and allow to set before bedding on the          Gable Block cut to size. To speed-up construction at the gables, provide a straight even top along the walls       before bedding the blocks up the slope finishing at the peaks with two vertical cut RoofBLOCKs. (See 1- 4)
